Color-printed folding map, 1923, showing Southern Pacific and connecting railroad lines as well as temperature zones, with inset maps of the Bay Area and Los Angeles as well as a comparative map illustrating the size of the state, printed by The Matthews-Northrup Works, Buffalo, NY, with text on the reverse describing, in glowing prose, the "resources, attractions, topography and climate of the state," with horizontal and vertical folds as issued (now flattened); one small length of paper separation along a horizontal fold (now stabilized), and a slight crease in the upper-right margin, but otherwise in very good condition
