Engraved map, 1595, this impression from the 1635 edition with English text on the verso, engraved by Gerard Mercator (1512-94) and published by Henricus Hondius, on off-white laid paper; a few very short tears at the extreme sheet edge, very lightly toned overall, with two areas of stronger toning in the lower-left and upper-sheet corners, and some offsetting visible on the reverse, but otherwise in very good, untouched condition with full margins
